How much does a single carport cost?

As a guide, our single carports start from around $7,000 for a flat or skillion design and around $9,000 for a gable design. Your final price will depend on size, roof style, materials and site condition. For an accurate price, request a free measure and quote. We’ll send you a formal quote within 3 days of your site visit.

Do I need development approval for my single carport?

Usually not, but it depends on your property. Development (planning) approval is only needed if your carport doesn’t comply with the R-Codes or your local council’s planning policy.

You may need approval if your carport:

• Sits closer to the street or side boundaries than your zoning allows

• Blocks the sightline between your house and the street

• Is wider than your council permits

• Is on a heritage-listed property

A single attached carport usually takes just 1 day to install, while a double carport takes around 2 days. Site conditions such as access, slope and ground type can add time, so most jobs are finished within 2 to 3 days. Installation starts once council approval is granted and your carport has been manufactured. We’ll confirm the timeframe for your job when we quote.
